Coated Vicryl Absorbable Suture, Ties, Undyed, Size 3/0, 3 x 18" (45 cm) is a synthetic absorbable suture composed of a copolymer made from glycolide and lactide. It is coated with polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate, which facilitate smoother tissue passage and improved handling. 

This suture is primarily used for general tissue and muscle approximation and ligation. It is also frequently selected for use in the reproductive tract, ophthalmic procedures, and as a secondary choice in orthopedic surgeries. Its pliability and knot security enhance surgical efficiency, particularly in areas requiring precise control and minimal tissue reactivity.

The suture maintains approximately 50% of its original tensile strength after three weeks. This degradation profile supports adequate wound support during the critical healing phase while minimizing the risk of long-term foreign body reaction.
